Lesson 4: World War 2: 1st September 1939 and Occupation of Europe
Learning Objective: To learn what were the causes and consequences of WW2. To learn and understand what the occupation of Europe meant for all the people of Europe.

2. World War Two started:
Must do: Poland was invaded ... large Jewish population. Please copy the following. All Jews were made to wear a Star of David (usually Yellow) on their clothing. They were made to leave their homes, forefeet belongings, businesses, and any wealth. The were then moved into Ghetto's and made to do slave labour (unskilled work). Stations Work: 1. Right a paragraph of what you might of tried to do in Poland, Czech Republic or Slovakia at the start of WW2. Include family and friends! This is if you were not Jewish or if you were Jewish. 2. Watch the 4 Videos on the Right - Write done 3 points from each video of things you find interesting or new to you! Come up with a question to ask teacher from each video 3. What Countries were Occupied in Europe: Must Do: Use the blank map and in Red Shade in hard Germany (Use an Atlas). Then in another colour or Lighter shading colour in the Following Countries:
4. Skill Learnt: TIMELINES (Homework activity) Must Do: Create a Timeline Of all the important dates you find around the Holocaust and War from 1925 to 1945. Your teacher will teach you the right way to do Time Lines. Scale, Title, and additions of information. Can Do: (Matrix Activity) Create a class Timeline for a wall Display to go along the length of a wall in your classroom. Students design students create!
