Learning Activities:1. Introduction: Video on Right Column
This is a video from the Yad Vashem Tool Box, Into Dark CD Rom Show any episode that fits your students interests. 2. Watch Video: Hitler the Rise of Evil (2hrs + in length (on right hand column) suggest pre watching and looking at sections ... suggestions listed)
3. The Rise of the Nazi Party MUST DO: Document analysis: Compare and Contrast Sources
Divide students into groups and get students to write notes on each document.
Once completed discuss the following as a class:
Remind students of the testimony they saw in lesson 1 from Kurt Messerschmidt. 4. What other events lead to Hitler's Rise to Power MUST DO: Look at Poster 4 and 5 describe what you see. Teacher to read from sheets provided. CAN DO: Write answers to the questions asked by teacher on each or one poster. 5. Reflection for first 2 Lessons HOMEWORK MUST DO: "3-2-1 Assessment" Reflection
